Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI — and we need practitioners who truly understand how cloud environments fail in the real world.
If you've spent time in the trenches of AWS, GCP, or Azure and know what a misconfigured IAM policy or exposed storage bucket looks like in production, this role was built for you. Your expertise will directly shape how AI systems reason about cloud security — making frontier AI more accurate, reliable, and grounded in reality.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
• Location: Fully Remote
What You'll Do
• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, failure patterns, and real-world attack surfaces
• Review and evaluate IAM configurations, networking setups, storage policies, and container security issues
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact and blast radius
• Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold in production
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI models think like experienced cloud security professionals
Who You Are
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Strong familiarity with cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major cloud platforms
• You've seen real-world misconfigurations and security incidents — and know how to reason about their downstream impact
• Able to clearly articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact in writing
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an async, remote environment
Nice to Have
• Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub)
• Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or cloud incident response
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM
• Prior experience contributing to AI training or evaluation projects
