Position Overview – Credentialing Data Entry Specialist The Credentialing Data Entry Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Credentialing Department, ensuring that physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff maintain accurate, up‑to‑date credentialing records. This position blends meticulous data management with proactive communication, supporting careerzynith’s ability to meet regulatory standards and deliver seamless patient services. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and organize credentialing files for all providers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. • Enter provider information into the credentialing software platform (careerzynith), guaranteeing data integrity and timely updates. • Assist with attestations for the universal provider database (careerzynith) and generate required documentation for new and existing providers. • Respond to internal and external requests for practice verification, completing detailed Excel spreadsheets for insurance plans such as careerzynith, careerzynith, and careerzynith. • Print, fax, and scan documents as needed, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy throughout the process. • Collaborate with the Credentialing Manager to restructure provider files, implement best‑practice filing systems, and improve workflow efficiency. • Track and monitor credentialing deadlines, flagging any pending actions to prevent lapses in provider eligibility. • Provide courteous and professional support to providers, staff, and external partners, addressing inquiries with discretion and empathy. • Perform routine audits of credentialing records to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing documentation. • Support the department in special projects, such as system migrations, process documentation, and training initiatives. Essential Qualifications • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with credentialing platforms (careerzynith). • Experience with healthcare analytics tools (careerzynith) and electronic health record systems (careerzynith) is advantageous. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
