The Electrical Engineer Rail will guide design teams, manage project delivery, and ensure financial and technical outcomes are met while maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Guiding design teams throughout all phases of the project, from bidding to completion
- Responsible for the designing, drafting and checking to deliver design documentation according to schedule and budget
- Responsibility for all aspects of assigned project work
- Responsible for technical delivery projects, schedule and cost management, and establishing requirements along with delivery of the project
- Coordinating delivery of integrated engineering design packages
- Identifying and working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders
- Development & management of project scope through requirements management activities
- Delivery of packages following management of change and engineering change processes
- Ensuring adequate provision, deployment and management of technical resources
- Driving project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring that client delivery is above expectation
- Ensuring that effective financial and project management controls are in place
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree
- 1+ years experience working on electrical design for rail projects preferred
- Proven team lead experience, with the ability to manage and mentor graduates
- Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy
- Strong IT skills
- Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required
- Experience preferred with traction power design (AC or DC) for rail projects
