As a Data Scientist, you'll work closely with senior experts and colleagues to design, develop, and scale AI and machine learning solutions that predict and prevent issues before they impact our systems. Key Responsibilities
- Develop models using machine learning, deep learning, and other technologies to predict and analyze data on hardware and software systems within a large server infrastructure.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify, anticipate, and recommend solutions to complex problems.
- Support processes related to the implementation of systems into production, including integration of purchased solutions.
- Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document AI and machine learning solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning with domain knowledge and experience in areas like data-driven statistical modeling, discriminative techniques, feature extraction, and supervised learning.
- 2+ years of experience in a programming language like Python, R, SQL, or similar.
- 2+ years of experience in data extraction, wrangling, visualization, and analysis.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to educate, share knowledge, and work with others to drive team success.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following skills and experience can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience working with data from multiple sources and through big data platforms like GCP, AWS, etc.
- Experience developing scalable machine learning models and solutions.
- Experience analyzing and implementing statistical models, machine learning algorithms, or customized solutions that drive significant business impact.
- Experience enhancing existing data pipelines by analyzing unstructured data sources and designing new features.
- Ability to provide technical support and expertise to the broader team.
- A graduate degree or higher in a quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of machine learning, data mining, statistics, applied science, or a related field.
