Key Responsibilities
- Maintain databases by entering new and updated customer and account information in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, and establish entry priorities
- Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies, and resolve deficiencies using standard procedures or by returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
- Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format
- Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures, and verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
- Combine data from both systems when account information is incomplete, and purge files to eliminate duplication of data
- Test customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data, and secure information by completing database backups
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Data entry experience or related office experience
- Basic computer skills, with some basic computer courses preferred by some employers
