Position Overview: Senior Data Architect
Are you passionate about transforming raw data into actionable business insights? If so, arenaflex invites you to apply for the position of Senior Data Architect within our Voice of Customer (VOC) team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end transformation and innovation of our Voice of Customer methodology. You will work closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and agile technology teams to design, build, and maintain data architecture that supports our customer experience analytics platform. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging your expertise in big data technologies to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
As part of the Customer Listening Team across our global business segments, you will help process millions of customer surveys translated into over 10 languages and deployed in more than 20 countries. Your technical leadership will ensure data quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout our analytics pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture Design: Design and build robust data model architectures to support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions across the organization.
- Platform Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of the new Voice of Customer technique sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with the survey and dashboard platform hosted through Qualtrics.
- Business Requirements: Work closely with application teams to define, shape, and capture business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Big Data Solutions: Enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions leveraging transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and accuracy through intensive testing at variable and use case levels.
- Performance Optimization: Offer guidance to enhance capabilities and drive efficiency in computing programs using the massive data ecosystem.
- Consumer Story Analysis: Power consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software programs, testing, and build automation tools.
- Process Automation: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with partners from various business units to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for different use cases as part of the VOC end-to-end technique.
- Voice of Customer Expertise: Grow knowledge of Voice of Customer methods and leverage the same to define and transform facts within the Cornerstone big data platform.
Essential Qualifications
- Technical Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, Shell Scripting Languages, development launch management, and troubleshooting understanding for data-driven projects.
- Collaborative Skills: Demonstrated ability to actively collaborate with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodologies of delivery where small increments of a product are introduced at regular intervals to business groups.
- Data Engineering Expertise: Strong experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms.
- Knowledge of customer experience measurement and Voice of Customer programs.
- Experience with real-time streaming data processing frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Certification in big data technologies (Cloudera, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
