We are seeking an experiencedInsurance Verification & Authorization Specialistto support a busy U.S.-based medical practice. This role plays a critical part in daily operations by ensuring next-day patient readiness, accurate insurance verification, timely authorizations, and a smooth patient financial experience.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment while collaborating closely with on-site teams.

Contract: Service Provision- Independant Contractor
Key Responsibilities
  • Performinsurance eligibility and benefits verificationfor next-day patients across multiple carriers
  • Confirm active coverage and accurately determinepatient financial responsibility(copays, deductibles, coinsurance) for visits, procedures, and treatments
  • Obtainreferrals and prior authorizationsfrom primary care physicians and insurance companies
  • Navigate and utilizehealth plan portals and insurance platformsefficiently
  • Collect payments fortelehealth visitswhen applicable
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure patient readiness and prevent delays, denials, or cancellations
  • Support general administrative and office-related duties as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other insurance verification specialists and on-site staff

Requirements

  • Minimum1 year of experiencein insurance verification within a medical office
  • Proven experience withreferrals and prior authorization processes
  • Strong understanding ofmedical terminology, includingCPT codes
  • Hands-on experience withinsurance portals and verification platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in afast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and professional communication style
  • Customer service–oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working withRheumatology practices
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial plans
  • Bilingual proficiency inEnglish and Spanish
  • Previous experience working remotely with U.S.-based medical offices
