The Middle School Reading Interventionist works with at-risk students at Highpoint Virtual Academy of Michigan to provide targeted reading remediation and support academic growth in a virtual learning environment. This full-time position focuses on implementing Response to Intervention (RTI) systems and data-driven instruction to increase student achievement. Key Responsibilities: Modifies K12 curriculum to meet individual student needs, collaborates with general education teachers on intervention strategies, oversees data collection and progress monitoring, and provides training and support to staff on RTI implementation. The role involves daily coordination with teachers, counselors, and administrators to track interventions and support student progress documentation. Skills & Tools: Strong data analysis and progress monitoring capabilities, proficiency with RTI instructional systems, ability to work independently in a remote environment, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and expertise in instructional differentiation for struggling readers. Qualifications: Michigan Teaching Certification is required. Candidates should have experience working with at-risk or struggling readers and familiarity with intervention systems and data-driven instructional practices.
