Job Summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Boulder is accepting applications for elementary through high-school math tutors. For high-school math, we are looking for tutors with a Ph.D. or Master's degree and many year of teaching experience. For elementary and middle-school math, we are looking tutors with a Master's degree and many years of experience teaching a particular grade or subject (For example, fourth-grade math or algebra.)

· Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of state of Colorado curriculum

· Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of material

· Provide remedial and enrichment support for students

· Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress

· Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student

Requirements

Qualified applicants have a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria:

· Possess a valid Colorado Teachers License or the equivalent

· Current student teacher who is pursuing a teaching certificate

· Two or more years of experience as a classroom teacher in a private or charter school

· Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. university or college

· Master's/Ph.D student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. university or college
