A special education teaching opportunity is available for an Early Interventionist working with children aged 3 to 4 years. This role involves providing specialized support as part of a team dedicated to early childhood intervention through telehealth and in-person sessions.
Location: Arcadia, Louisiana
Position Type: Contract, Part-Time
Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027 (dates may be subject to change)
Schedule: Approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days a week (2 days spent in the northern region and 2 days in the southern region)
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver early intervention services to children aged 3-4 with special needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize telehealth methods alongside onsite visits to maximize student support
• Monitor and document progress in compliance with state regulations and educational best practices
Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate
• Experience in early childhood special education, preferably with telehealth service delivery
• Strong understanding of early intervention strategies and child development principles
• Ability to work effectively in both onsite and remote environments
