ECOM CPA LLC is a cloud-based company seeking an Accounting Client Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of e-commerce clients. The role involves managing bookkeeping accuracy, presenting financial insights, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client relationship owner for an assigned portfolio, ensuring a consistently high level of service and satisfaction
- Review and manage the bookkeeping and reconciliation work completed by our accounting team, ensuring accuracy and completeness before client delivery
- Prepare and lead monthly client meetings to present financial statements and trending analysis in clear, actional terms
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in client financials, and proactively bring insights and recommendations to the client rather than waiting to be asked
- Address client questions and follow-up requests promptly, or coordinate with the appropriate internal team to find the answer
- Intake new clients after onboarding, setting expectations for reporting cadence, communication, and the value they can expect from the relationship
- Identify opportunities to expand the value delivered to each client, including additional advisory or service offerings, and route them appropriately
- Maintain organized, up-to-date client records, meeting notes, and follow-up items

- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance and changing priorities
- Strong understanding of accrual based accounting principles
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to explain financial statements to clients in clear and simple terms
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships, with a genuine focus on client service and satisfaction
- Experience reviewing or overseeing the work of a bookkeeping team, including providing feedback
- Ability to set realistic goals and practical timelines for achieving them
- Experience in the ecommerce space is preferred
