E Source is a research, data/analytics, and technology-focused professional services firm focused exclusively on the utility industry in North America. As an Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will play a key role on the Accounting Team, focusing on the Accounts Receivable function while assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customer invoices in accordance with customer contracts
- Apply customer payments (ACHs, checks, wires, lockbox, etc.)
- Assist with collection efforts using our automated dunning letter module within our ERP system and by collaborating with internal client service teams
- Help set up billing rules and create projects in NetSuite and SuiteProjects Pro
- Support audit requests and other external data requests as necessary
- Communicate with project managers across several departments to ensure accurate invoicing and accounting for customer activity
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable, including account reconciliations, posting general ledger entries, and more
- Identify areas for process improvements
Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Have experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, QuickBooks, SuiteProjects Pro, or other similar ERP systems
