Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kforce Inc is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support their Order to Cash team. The role involves applying customer payments, researching payment discrepancies, and performing cash application activities while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Responsibilities
- Apply customer payments accurately and efficiently across various payment methods, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and lockbox transactions
- Research, identify, and resolve unapplied, misapplied, or unidentified payments by partnering with internal teams and customers as needed
- Perform daily cash application activities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper account reconciliation
- Utilize Excel tools, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and data validation, to analyze payment activity, prepare reports, and identify trends
- Monitor accounts receivable transactions to identify discrepancies, payment issues, and potential areas of improvement
- Conduct root-cause analysis to uncover recurring billing, invoicing, or payment processing challenges and recommend solutions
- Review payment patterns and account activity to identify irregularities, errors, or potential fraud risks
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cash receipts, account reconciliations, and payment research
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy
Skills
- Cash application expert: applying payments (ACH, wire, check, lockbox) accurately and efficiently
- Excel skills: VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and data validation for reporting and analysis
