What You'll Do
As a Data Scientist on our Cost and Operations Analysis team, you'll play a critical role in improving efficiency, automation, and provider experiences across our organization. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver seamless, high-quality healthcare services to millions of members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Advanced Models and Algorithms: Design, implement, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms that enhance processes related to our healthcare claims environment, driving operational excellence and accuracy.
- Identify Analysis Opportunities: Continuously evaluate and measure opportunities for analysis that improve efficiency and increase automation in claims settlement and claims modification processes.
- Build Predictive Solutions: Create, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate complex issues, identify meaningful patterns, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms to solve moderately complex business challenges and uncover actionable insights.
- Statistical Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses to extract meaningful patterns from healthcare data and support strategic decision-making.
- Data Pipeline Development: Develop data models and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data that generates valuable insights and meets reporting requirements.
- Visual Communication: Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions with clear, compelling visual representations.

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of significant analytical experience in a professional setting, demonstrating the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Programming Expertise: Strong experience programming using R or Python, with the ability to develop efficient, scalable solutions.
