Confidential company is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and validating electrical systems and components for various applications. This role involves creating detailed schematics, conducting testing and validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, components, and assemblies for industrial, power, and infrastructure applications
- Create detailed electrical schematics, elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, routing diagrams, and technical documentation
- Utilize electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar engineering tools to produce accurate design packages
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and customer stakeholders to define project requirements and technical specifications
- Conduct electrical calculations, testing, simulations, and design validation activities to ensure performance and reliability
- Review designs for compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical design issues during manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and operation
- Assist with design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, quality, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, records, and revision control throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design engineering
- Experience designing electrical systems for power generation facilities, data centers, industrial equipment, industrial control systems, or related environments
- Experience creating electrical schematics, elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, and routing diagrams
- Working knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, or comparable electrical design software
- Ability to interpret and apply electrical codes, standards, and engineering specifications
- Ability to perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities as required
- 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Experience supporting projects through design, testing, commissioning, and implementation phases
- Familiarity with power distribution systems, industrial controls, or electrical equipment design
- Experience in power plant, data center, utility, or industrial facility design
- Familiarity with industrial automation, controls systems, or electrical distribution equipment
- Experience with simulation, modeling, or electrical analysis software
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure is a plus
