The Epic Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for Epic implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and successful delivery of initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex Epic implementation, optimization, and upgrade initiatives for Inpatient and Ambulatory clinical applications
- Serve as the primary project management partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including analysts, clinical stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership
Skills
- Strategic leadership and operational oversight for Epic implementation initiatives
- Primary project management and application partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors
- Planning, coordinating, and executing Epic implementation projects across Inpatient (IP) and Ambulatory (Amb) clinical applications
- Ensuring alignment with organizational goals, project timelines, budget, and quality standards
- Mentorship, project governance, and day-to-day leadership for implementation teams
- Proactively managing risks, resolving issues, facilitating stakeholder communication, and promoting best practices throughout the project lifecycle
