JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of the organization's financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, purchases and donations
- Conduct account reconciliations
- Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
- Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for reporting
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
- 2+ years' accounting experience
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in using Quickbooks
- Must have non-profit organization experience
- 3-5 hours/week, minimum 6 months commitment
