The HR Consultant role focuses on delivering strategic HR consulting services, partnering with business leaders to address workforce challenges and implement effective HR solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver HR consulting services in accordance with client engagement agreements, consistently exceeding client expectations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, and leadership teams
- Provide outsourced HR support for clients requiring comprehensive HR management services
- Assess HR programs, policies, practices, and processes and recommend improvements aligned with business goals
- Design and implement talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning strategies
- Develop leadership capabilities through coaching, training, and succession planning initiatives
- Create and implement employee engagement, retention, and culture-building solutions
- Design performance development and feedback processes that improve organizational effectiveness
- Identify opportunities to improve HR operations through process improvements, technology solutions, and strategic workforce planning
- Participate in client prospect meetings and business development activities
- Contribute to the development of proposals, statements of work, and consulting engagements
- Build and maintain professional networks that generate new business opportunities
- Represent Gotcha Covered HR through community involvement, speaking engagements, networking events, and social media presence
- Support the growth of both personal consulting opportunities and the overall consulting practice
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and company information
- Stay current on HR trends, employment practices, and regulatory developments
- Participate in professional development opportunities and industry education
- Contribute to client events, workshops, and other business development initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including strategic HR leadership and consulting responsibilities
- Executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and business owners
- Strong consulting, facilitation, and relationship-management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through
- Ability to quickly understand client business models, challenges, and organizational dynamics
