The IT Infrastructure Analyst role involves supporting core IT systems and infrastructure projects while ensuring effective communication and management of support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, VMware, and related infrastructure platforms
- Respond to incidents, service requests, escalations, and ticket queue work
- Troubleshoot technical issues, restore service, and document resolution steps clearly
- Monitor system health and perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates
- Support migrations, upgrades, automation efforts, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with security, service desk, application, and business teams to resolve issues and deliver infrastructure changes
- Support office moves, closures, and site consolidations by coordinating infrastructure readiness, endpoint setup, connectivity, and post-move support
- Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and support notes
- Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders through consistent updates in ticketing, project management, and other tracking systems, with direct follow-up when needed
- Apply change management, documentation, and security best practices
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as needed
Skills
- 6 or more years of infrastructure, systems, or related IT experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience supporting Windows Server and client operating systems, VMware, and related platforms
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services, such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, and Intune
- Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing
- Experience handling incidents, escalations, and ticket queues
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate progress clearly
- Ability to balance support responsibilities with assigned project work
- Hands-on experience with hardware decommissioning, data center relocation projects, or office IT relocation projects
- Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Relevant certifications are preferred, such as Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent role-based certifications
- Experience with hybrid identity, cloud directory services, or Microsoft Entra ID
- Knowledge of supporting services and virtual machines running in public cloud environments
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation, endpoint management, or configuration management
- Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices
- Experience supporting migrations, system upgrades, or operational improvement initiatives
- Experience with backup and business continuity platforms
