Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of catering logistics, including transportation, inventory management, equipment deployment, and staffing coordination for events. Develop and implement efficient logistical plans and routes to ensure on-time delivery of food, beverages, and supplies. Manage inventory levels for catering equipment, linens, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock and coordinating procurement. Supervise and mentor a team of remote logistics coordinators, providing guidance and ensuring performance standards are met. Collaborate with sales, culinary, and event management teams to gather event requirements and translate them into logistical plans. Utilize logistics software and technology to track shipments, manage schedules, and optimize resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations throughout the logistical process. Proactively identify and resolve potential logistical issues or bottlenecks before they impact events. Conduct post-event analysis of logistical performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Manage vendor relationships related to transportation, equipment rental, and warehousing. Requirements A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in logistics management, supply chain, or operations, with a significant focus on event or catering logistics. Proven experience in leading and managing remote teams. Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and fleet management principles. Expertise in using logistics planning software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a distributed team. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed for critical logistical operations.
