The Metrics and Data Consultant will transform workforce data into actionable insights, partnering with leaders to address challenges like retention and talent gaps while ensuring ethical data use and accuracy in reporting.
Responsibilities
- Work side‑by‑side with business leaders to turn big questions into testable hypotheses, sparking ‘aha’ moments along the way
- Use advanced analytics and predictive models to identify risks and opportunities in the workforce—and recommend solutions that make a measurable impact
- Dig deep into data to uncover patterns around attrition, hiring, development, talent management, and employee listening—surfacing insights others might miss
- Turn validated data into visual stories leaders want to read. You won’t just explain the ‘what’—you’ll illuminate the ‘why’ and ‘what now
- Translate business needs into technical requirements so People Analytics builds the right tools at the right time
- Champion easy‑to‑use, self‑service metrics that empower leaders to explore and understand their own data
- Serve as the final checkpoint to ensure dashboards and reports are accurate, consistent, and logical across systems
- Monitor predictive AI outputs—like flight risk or performance models—to ensure insights are unbiased and grounded in reality
- Advocate for ethical data use and protect employee privacy while still delivering meaningful insights
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, HR, or similar field
- At least eight years of analytics or consulting experience, including five years in People Analytics
- Strong understanding of how organizations operate and how people drive business outcomes
- Able to build trust quickly and act as a strategic advisor to executives
- Comfortable interpreting statistical concepts such as regression, correlation vs. causation, and standard deviation
- Skilled in Power BI or Tableau, able to modify queries and create custom visualizations independently
- Strong knowledge of HCM systems like Oracle Cloud HCM, with an understanding of data structures behind the scenes
- Experience using SQL or advanced Excel tools to merge and interpret data from multiple sources
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, HR, or similar field
- Experience mentoring junior analysts and helping them grow in analytics and client engagement
