The Project Manager will oversee the execution of rebar projects from set-up through completion, managing contracts and coordinating project details with customers and teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of the detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs of products and services
- Oversee the customer and project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapt schedules and work tasks accordingly
- Communicate with customers regarding project details involving detailing, fabrication and delivery issues
- Review rebar shop drawings and direct the revision of drawings as needed
- Schedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor, detailers, and production team
- Answer customer questions related to assigned projects and resolve any problems that may occur
- Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the support of the organization
Skills
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field
- Certification is required in some areas
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineer, Construction Management, related degree and/or equivalent work experience
- 2 + years of project management experience and 1 + year of construction project management experience
- Basic knowledge of AutoCad or MicroStation
- Ability to read & understand structural & architectural drawings
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills combined with the ability to meet deadlines and mult-task in fast-paced environment
