They are seeking an ambitious Sales Manager to drive sales activities and develop relationships in North America, contributing to their expansion in the rail cybersecurity market.
Responsibilities
- Drive Sales Activities: Support and lead parts of the sales process from prospecting and generating opportunities to closure, including lead generation, customer engagement, and proposal development
- Develop Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the rail and cybersecurity ecosystems
- Support Market Strategy: Collaborate with senior team members to identify new opportunities, develop go-to-market plans, and support strategic sales initiatives
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Cylus’ technical and marketing teams to ensure customer success and consistent messaging
- Represent Cylus: Attend industry events and conferences, helping to expand our presence and network across the North American rail community
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within the rail, transportation, or technology sectors
- Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships and contributing to complex sales cycles
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-growing, small-team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel 25–40% across North America and International travel once a year
- Existing network or relationships within the rail industry (freight and/or passenger/transit)
- Background in technical fields such as computer science, electrical engineering, or cybersecurity
- Previous experience in cybersecurity sales or technology partnerships
- Experience working within a start-up environment
