They are seeking a Senior Paralegal for their Paralegal team to provide company secretarial support to a global leader in financial services, with responsibilities including governance oversight and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
- Board related matters: These include organizing board and board committee meetings; collating board materials; attending meetings and taking minutes; monitoring action items
- Governance responsibilities: These include promoting and driving consistent standards of legal entity governance and oversight in accordance with internal client models and standards; providing directors, senior management and legal entities with support and training across corporate governance matters, including in relation to relevant laws and regulations, governance practices and legal entity management; and assisting as appropriate with local, regional and global regulatory and governance projects
- Legal entity related matters: These include maintaining corporate records and certifications; support on the application of corporate procedures and record retention as relates to governance matters and internal procedures; oversight of Blueprint to ensure data is maintained by all users to facilitate regulatory reporting; creation and maintenance of investment structure charts for company secretarial and regulatory support; regular legal entity reporting and analysis to senior management on entity population
- Compliance and Regulatory matters: These include dealing with Compliance, KYC, and AML requests
Skills
- Paralegal qualification
- A minimum of 4-5 years experience as a Paralegal
- Experience in LP Transfers
- Experience working within the financial services sector
- Knowledge of US regulatory environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Regular client-facing experience
- Good commercial awareness, working directly with business managers
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Blueprint Company Secretarial Software
