Catapult Federal Services is a global technology solutions provider that helps enterprise organizations modernize their IT infrastructure. They are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join a high-impact engineering team responsible for building and maintaining modern cloud infrastructure and developer platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting software delivery
- Implement and manage Kubernetes container orchestration platforms
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Establish and maintain GitOps workflows for deployment and configuration management
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to standardize platform engineering practices
- Support the development of a centralized software factory model
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and security
- Implement DevOps best practices to improve automation and operational efficiency
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS production environments across multiple AWS services
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Experience implementing GitOps methodologies and tools
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience building internal developer platforms or software factory models
- Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical applications
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
