The Senior Software Engineer – Privacy will design, develop, and deliver secure backend applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build high-performance REST APIs and Microservices
- Develop event-driven applications using Kafka or similar messaging technologies
- Design scalable service architectures and integration patterns
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Data Engineering, and Privacy teams
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Maintain technical documentation and design specifications
- Continuously improve application reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Utilize AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar throughout the software development lifecycle
- Build AI agents to automate engineering tasks including code generation, testing, debugging, incident analysis, and CI/CD workflows
- Develop AI-enabled backend services using LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Implement audit logging, observability, and human-in-the-loop controls for AI-powered production systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 6+ years of enterprise software development experience
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
