The Senior Account Manager will drive sales growth and expand CST's presence in biopharma and related sectors, focusing on strategic account management and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Identify and capture high-value opportunities within the CAR-T, TCR-T, and cell therapy pipeline as a primary focus, strategically positioning CST’s early-phase clinical and GMP portfolio where lot-to-lot antibody consistency is a critical regulatory hurdle
- Drive territory revenue growth by expanding CST's core portfolio across translational research and early-stage clinical workflows in immunology, neurodegeneration, and oncology
- Manage and expand key accounts across biopharma and CRO organizations, utilizing a consultative, solution-based approach tailored to pre-clinical and early clinical evaluation phases
- Engage key stakeholders, including laboratory leadership, translational scientists, and validation/quality teams, to support product adoption and long-term partnerships
- Accurately forecast sales, maintain pipeline visibility, and drive cross-selling/upselling of high-consistency solutions across account pipelines
- Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts aligned with institutional purchasing and documentation processes
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with translational scientists, lab directors, and research quality stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor on product validation, assay reproducibility, documentation standards, and early-stage compliance considerations (e.g., GxP alignment)
- Support customers in navigating product selection to ensure alignment with their internal validation and characterization standards
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by anticipating needs and ensuring timely, technically sound responses
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and Quality teams to support commercialization and account engagement strategies
- Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights on translational workflows and validation expectations to inform product positioning
- Coordinate with technical and application scientists to ensure solutions meet rigorous evaluation standards and are fit-for-purpose
- Align global and regional teams on territory account strategies and commitments
- Identify new opportunities in emerging translational applications, expanded workflows, and regulated research spaces
- Represent CST at industry conferences, scientific symposia, and relevant regional events to strengthen market presence
- Provide strategic input into portfolio and commercial planning based on evolving market trends and validation requirements
- Maintain accurate account records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with company policies and standards
- Manage expenses and report performance metrics aligned with commercial objectives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field
- 5+ years of life science sales experience with a strong emphasis on biopharma, CROs, or translational/early clinical research environments
- Demonstrated experience selling to accounts with strict internal assay validation, reproducibility, and documentation requirements
- Proven ability to sell complex scientific solutions into cell and gene therapy (CAR-T), immunology, or neuroscience sectors
- Practical experience with antibody-based applications in characterization or clinical workflows (e.g., IHC, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, High Content Imaging)
- Strong understanding of drug development, translational research, and preclinical laboratory processes
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, including laboratory directors, screening groups, and procurement functions
- Excellent communication, presentation, forecasting, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and the ability to travel regularly within the territory
- The ability to perform repetitive motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers
- The ability to extend hands and arms in any direction to access materials, equipment, or a keyboard
- The ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to view and read information from a computer monitor, reports, and documents
- Physically able to safely lift and carry 25 pounds to move, install, unpack PC equipment, office supplies, etc. as required
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings, client visits, and company training (approx. 20-30%)
- Advanced degree preferred
- Familiarity with GxP frameworks preferred
