Beech Valley Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Consultant to support a leading advisory firm's client engagements on a project basis. This role will provide specialized accounting expertise and augment existing engagement teams as workload demands fluctuate.
Responsibilities
- Support technical accounting projects across a diverse client portfolio
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues under U.S. GAAP
- Assist with revenue recognition assessments and implementation of ASC 606 guidance
- Support accounting and reporting related to business combinations and acquisition transactions
- Prepare technical accounting memos, position papers, and supporting documentation
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures
- Collaborate with engagement teams to provide accounting guidance and project support
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc technical accounting initiatives as needed
Skills
- Strong technical accounting experience within public accounting, consulting, or a corporate accounting environment
- Hands-on experience with revenue recognition and ASC 606
- Experience supporting business combinations and purchase accounting analyses
- Strong financial reporting and financial statement preparation experience
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting research methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing client needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA preferred
- Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda
- Prior consulting or outsourced accounting experience
- Exposure to SEC reporting and public company environments
- Experience supporting transaction-related accounting projects
