Responsibilities
- Source, attract, and recruit veterinarians, veterinary technicians, surgeons, oncologists, specialists, and support staff for clinics, hospitals, and specialty practices across the U.S
- Leverage existing industry networks and databases to locate and engage highly qualified candidates
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from prospecting and screening to offer negotiation and placement
- Maintain relationships with both candidates and clients to ensure successful placements and long-term partnerships
- Actively market and present opportunities to potential candidates to build a strong pipeline
- Collaborate with the team to strategize, refine sourcing techniques, and close hiring needs efficiently
- Stay up to date with industry trends, job market insights, and competitor hiring strategies
Skills
- Proven experience in veterinary recruitment, preferably within an agency or in-house setting
- Active network and database of veterinary professionals
- Strong knowledge of veterinary industry roles, market trends, salary expectations, and licensing requirements
- Ability to fill positions quickly and meet hiring demands
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a commission-driven role
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable using ATS, CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools
