Stiebel Eltron is a family owned, global leader in electric tankless water heating and energy-efficient home comfort solutions since 1924. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to accelerate our growth across the Western region, leading sales strategy and developing key accounts in major territories of the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute region-specific go-to-market strategies through wholesale reps and distributors, adapting to channel dynamics, regulations, and competitive landscapes
- Interpret sales metrics, identify underperforming segments and uncover emerging market trends
- Drive sales growth, establish budget reflective incentives that continually inspire brand awareness, excitement and meet revenue targets
- Manage key accounts including regional distributors, home builder’s groups and managing relationships with buying groups
- Establish pricing strategies, recommend adjustments, and manage margin performance according to market demands and product lines against competition
- Track and analyze profitability, sell-through data, rebates, freight allowances, and promotional performance
- Build and maintain accurate CRM pipelines; ensure high-quality forecasting, data accuracy, and activity tracking
- Negotiate commercial terms including volume rebates, discounts, program allowances, and annual agreements
- Develop and deliver product presentations, training sessions, and technical explanations for engineers, plumbers, contractors and other professionals
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Technical Support) to support channel initiatives and regional product launches
- Drive structured new customer acquisition and increase market share through targeted identification and follow-up of potential customers
- Monitor regulatory needs for specific customer types
- Join trade organizations, i.e. ASPE, PHCC, MCA, ASA etc
- Travel throughout the region to visit customers, conduct product training, support events, and build long-term partnerships
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-6+ years of sales experience selling home improvement or durable goods— plumbing, HVAC, electrical preferred
- Knowledge of pricing strategy, margin management, and profitability analysis
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with distributors, and rep agencies
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams) for file sharing, collaboration, and virtual meetings
- Ability to translate technical product features into customer value; technical aptitude for plumbing, electrical, or water-heating systems is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout Western sales region and attend national trade shows
- Position is based in California
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred)
- 3-6+ years of sales experience selling home improvement or durable goods— plumbing, HVAC, electrical preferred
- Marketing knowledge (digital, retail programs, co-op campaigns) is preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred but not required
