The Senior Finance IS Analyst will partner with Finance Leaders to enhance work processes, manage the configuration of the Workday Financial System, and provide subject matter expertise to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Partners with Finance Leaders and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities
- The Senior Finance IS Analyst builds and maintains the configuration of the Financial system, creates project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning
- This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing and implementation of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
- Manages the build and configuration of the Workday Financial System while providing Subject Matter Expertise to cross-functional teams
- Manages projects/process improvement, including the following tasks: apply change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality and efficiency
- Identifies and understand issues, problems and opportunities
- Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
- Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles
- Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation
- Trains new system users
- Provides production support, including; provide support for Workday and other Finance Systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; participates in the release management efforts; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
- Follows system governance and change control policies and procedures
- Develop solutions to meet complex business needs utilizing system guiding principles
- Develop reports to support the business needs
Skills
- Associate's Degree
- Experience in lieu of education: Work Experience in Finance
- Project management experience
- Ability to analyze work process design and flow
- Ability to improve processes and leverage technological capabilities
- Experience in managing the build and configuration of the Workday Financial System
- Ability to provide Subject Matter Expertise to cross-functional teams
- Experience in managing projects/process improvement
