Responsibilities
- Rotate through key departments (e.g. Credit, Compliance, Operations, Risk) within the bank to support current initiatives
- Work closely with Nelnet leaders to learn practices at all levels of the institution
- Assist with process improvement, data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Support leadership and department managers with research, projects, and execution
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and special projects as institutional needs evolve
- Gain working knowledge of banking regulations, internal controls, and practices
- Contribute to customer-focused initiatives
- Collaborate with different teams across the company by communicating, problem solving, and planning
- Provide support for Bank Board of Director and Community Reinvestment Act activities
Skills
- Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Business, Quantitative Analytics or Technology completed by May 2026
- Proven desire to innovate, take on multiple responsibilities, and pursue professional and personal growth
- Sharp analytical and data management skills
