Sr. Director Sales and Business DevelopmentEssential Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy •    Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue, market share, and profitability goals.  •    Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Directors, Area Sales Managers, and independent distributors.  •    Establish performance objectives, monitor results, and implement corrective actions as needed.  •    Drive accountability through regular business reviews, forecasting, and performance management.  Business Development •    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and integrated delivery networks.  •    Develop strategic relationships with key spine surgeons, physician groups, and healthcare executives.  •    Support product launches and commercialization efforts across the region.  •    Expand adoption of enabling technologies, biologics, implants, navigation, and robotics platforms.  Customer & Market Engagement •    Serve as an executive-level representative with key customers and strategic accounts.  •    Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform growth strategies.  •    Partner with Marketing, Clinical Education, Operations, and Product Development teams to optimize customer experience.  Financial Management •    Own regional revenue forecasts, budgets, and expense management.  •    Monitor sales metrics and business performance indicators.  •    Develop action plans to maximize profitability and resource allocation.  Talent Development •    Create a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer success.  Compliance & Quality •    Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.  •    Maintain adherence to FDA regulations, Sunshine Act requirements, and applicable healthcare laws.    Qualifications Required •    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.  •    10+ years of progressive medical device sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.  •    Demonstrated success leading large geographic regions within the spine, orthopedic, or surgical device industry.  •    Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving market share growth.  •    Experience managing direct and distributor-based sales organizations.  •    Strong financial acumen, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.  •    Ability to travel up to 60–75% throughout the East Coast region.  Preferred •    MBA or advanced business degree.  •    Experience with spinal implants, biologics, enabling technologies, navigation, or robotics platforms.  •    Established relationships with key spine surgeons and healthcare systems across the East Coast.    Key Competencies •    Strategic Leadership  •    Revenue Growth & Market Expansion  •    Executive Presence  •    Negotiation & Influence  •    Team Development & Coaching  •    Healthcare Industry Expertise  •    Data-Driven Decision Making  •    Change Management  •    Customer Relationship Management    Success Measures •    Achievement of annual revenue and profitability targets.  •    Market share growth within assigned geography.  •    New account acquisition and product adoption.  •    Sales team retention, engagement, and development.  •    Forecast accuracy and operational excellence.  •    Customer satisfaction and strategic account growth.
