About the Student Onboarding Coordinator Role
As a Student Onboarding Coordinator at Beyond 12, you will play a pivotal role in introducing incoming students to our coaching services, ensuring they are equipped with the support needed to navigate their college journey successfully. This temporary part-time position is available remotely and involves facilitating engaging and interactive workshops, both virtually and in-person, to excite students about the coaching relationship and outline the onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate virtual and in-person Student Onboarding Workshops for Beyond 12's incoming students, ensuring an engaging and interactive experience.
- Participate in bi-weekly meetings and maintain regular communication with the Student Onboarding Committee and supervisors via Slack.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on workshop delivery and execution, suggesting improvements for continuous enhancement.
- Collaborate with the Student Onboarding Committee to align workshop content with organizational objectives and customer/student needs.
- Create and distribute calendar invites for workshops, including attendees and relevant Zoom links or locations, with all details provided at least two weeks in advance.
- Adapt workshop content and delivery methods as necessary to accommodate changes in student demographics and program requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of workshop attendance, feedback, and other relevant data.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel as a Student Onboarding Coordinator at Beyond 12, you should:
- Have a deep commitment to Beyond 12's mission, vision, and core values: Collaboration, Excellence, Innovation, Knowledge, Respect, and Trust.
- Have completed at least 2 years as a College Coach at Beyond 12, bringing valuable experience and insight to the role.
- Be an exceptional presenter, capable of engaging and captivating your audience both virtually and in-person.
- Be results-oriented and self-directed, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Be familiar with office productivity programs (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slack) and web and mobile communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience in higher education or a related field.
- Background in working with under-resourced communities or similar populations.
- Knowledge of college success platforms or virtual coaching services.
