Job description: To provide English Language instruction and assessment for adult language learners.

Job Requirements

Ability to effectively work and communicate with various staff.

Ability to effectively work with a diverse group of learners.

Collaborative worker as a member of the ABE community of teachers and staff.

Understands and applies current research-based strategies for classroom instruction.

Consistently reviews and corrects student work in order to provide effective remedial instruction.

Masters use of technology skills for instructional purposes, including online instruction.

Maintains accurate and up to date student records and data according to DWD and Adult Education policy.

Collaborates with learners to develop and review individualized Adult Learning Plans.

Uses state assessment tools to determine student learning needs.

Demonstrates professional growth in the areas identified in the evaluation.

Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities and/or serve on staff committees as necessary, or as assigned.

Perform any other duties related to the position of Teacher as directed by the Director or Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

Teaching license preferred, Bachelor's degree required.

Some training with the Department of Workforce Development may be required.

Pass a Criminal History Background Check.

Salary and Benefits

Hourly, $41.00 per hour. No benefits available.
