About the Role: Virtual Course Facilitator - CCPS Online 2023
We are looking for an experienced and passionate educator to join our team as a Virtual Course Facilitator for CCPS Online programs. This position is ideal for individuals who are not only knowledgeable in secondary education but also adept at leveraging technology to facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences. As a Virtual Course Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in managing the classroom environment, providing instructional support to students, and collaborating with online instructors to ensure that learning objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Facilitation and Supervision: Provide comprehensive support to students in a secondary school setting by managing classroom behavior, offering instructional guidance, and troubleshooting technical issues related to accessing course content.
- Collaboration with Online Instructors: Work closely with primary course instructors to implement lesson plans, provide differentiated instruction, and support student learning outcomes.
- Instructional Support and Intervention: Identify student deficits and provide targeted intervention services based on goals and objectives set by CCPS and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly educational climate, adhering to division guidelines on student behavior management.
- Assessment and Feedback: Utilize multiple assessment tools to evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with parents, administrators, and other staff members as necessary to ensure student success.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and eligibility for a Virginia teaching license with a secondary (6-12) content area endorsement (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of secondary education concepts, principles, and methodologies, as well as Virginia Standards of Learning.
- Proficiency in using media and technology to support instructional functions.
- The ability to assess student learning, differentiate instruction, and manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with instructors, students, and parents.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
