Position Overview
See It. Build It. Lead It.
Gordon Sinclair | Promotional Products Supplier
This is not a “manage what exists” marketing leadership role.
This is a build the foundation, lead the people, and shape the future of the department role.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity — someone who doesn’t wait for the roadmap, the systems, or the structure to be handed to them. You see what marketing needs to become, you create the vision, and you build the path to get it there.
This role is ideal for a leader who has built marketing structure where little existed before and who leads people with empathy, clarity, and conviction.
What This Role Really Is
You lead marketing. Not just the work — the function.
From department vision to team development, from sales alignment to brand evolution, you are the leader responsible for creating the marketing foundation Gordon Sinclair needs to grow. You think big, create order, and bring people with you.
You are not here to simply oversee activity. You are here to build a department that works.
You’re not driven by ego — you’re driven by people, progress, and outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
People-first leader — you build trust, develop talent, and create clarity
Visionary thinker — you see what marketing can become and know how to move it there
Builder by nature — you create structure, systems, and direction where little exists
Strategic and practical — you can think long-term and still guide execution
Persuasive communicator — you influence across teams and bring people with you
Cross-functional leader — you partner seamlessly with Leadership, Sales, Product, and Operations
High standards, high accountability — you own outcomes, not excuses
What You’ll Own
Marketing Vision & Direction — define what marketing is, where it is going, and how it supports business growth
Department Leadership — lead, coach, and develop the Marketing Manager and build the function over time
Brand & Market Strategy — strengthen how Gordon Sinclair shows up in the market across B2B and B2C audiences
Sales & Business Alignment — ensure marketing is connected to revenue, product priorities, and commercial needs
Systems & Structure — build the processes, planning rhythms, priorities, and metrics that make marketing run effectively
