They are seeking a results-driven Business Sales Manager to manage and grow relationships with major retailers like Walmart and Kroger, focusing on strategic sales plans and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow national and regional retail account relationships across the Southeast, including Kroger (multiple divisions), Walmart, and key regional chains
- Build and manage external broker agency relationships with clear KPIs and accountability for retail execution and new item speed-to-shelf
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales plans, promotional programs, and joint business planning (JBP) presentations at the buyer and HO level
- Identify distribution white space and pursue new opportunities to expand ACV and grow market share
- Manage trade budgets, forecasting, and P&L for assigned accounts
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, finance, and international leadership
- Represent Borges USA / STAR Fine Foods at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
Skills
- 6+ years of CPG food sales experience with a proven track record of growing national or regional retail accounts
- Direct buyer-level relationship experience at major retail accounts, particularly Kroger (any division), Walmart, and regional chains. Established Walmart or Kroger divisional relationships are a significant differentiator
- Proven experience managing external broker agency relationships
- Strong command of syndicated data tools such as but not limited to IRI, Nielsen/Circana, or SPINS
- Experience with trade promotion strategy, JBP, forecasting, and P&L management
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a remote, field-based environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
