They are seeking a Senior Backend Commerce Engineer to design, build, and support scalable commerce solutions across various platforms, focusing on backend development and integration for customer engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend solutions for ecommerce workflows across SFCC and microservices
- Build and maintain event-driven notification pipelines for order, return, and account journeys
- Deliver and optimize product/catalog feed and order feed integrations
- Implement payment enhancements, including payment type support like Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Lead technical discovery and feasibility assessments for Emarsys, TurnTo, and ClientTale initiatives
- Define and govern API/event contracts, data mappings, and integration standards across systems
- Partner with product and platform teams to improve delivery predictability, release quality, and customer impact
- Support production reliability through monitoring, issue triage, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud backend development
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Java with Spring Boot for backend/microservice development
- Practical experience with API integrations, event-driven architecture, and business-rule implementation
- Experience delivering and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong understanding of release management, testing strategy, and production support practices
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external integration partners
- Experience with customer engagement platforms such as Emarsys and TurnTo
- Experience integrating analytics/customer platforms such as ClientTale
